I sprayed mine with just a black bumper spray from my local car shop.

Worked well for a bit, but has started to lift off in places, and would probably come off in a jet wash as well.

Might have been better if I had used a plastic primer before hand.

I'm sure Halfords should have some form of black bumper spray

never tried the heat gun trick but everyone reccomends it so it must work. unless it's one of them long standing jokes that forums have. you sure you're doing it right?

haha i dunno it seems everyone likes it. but in theory how can heating the plastic up work :S ? but it did look good and black but then as it cooled looked less black and then faded just as quick as back to black would of to be honest.... however i have purposely not used back to black for a while so they looking rather grey at min so will have another go with heat when we get some good weather and ill post on here wt happens lol.

You can use a rubber.

Will taqke a life time and dont know how long it lasts, but works well at getting polish off them in small areas, so dont see why it cant work as a whole.

whip them off and give them a few light coats of plastic primer, then 3 to 4 coats of satin black from halfrauds and it be reet..

did this to mine 3 years ago and it never lifted and that was washed with pressure washer and everything.. only time it lifted was when the back got caved in..

I've been heat gunning my bumpers tday, worked but still dull, think I'll still end up 'back to blacking' them... and in the end going to paint them I think.
