im currently using this exact setup and have been for almost a year now, it is an excellent beginner package and ive learnt alot from it, but shall be upgrading in a few weeks.

It has more knobs, buttons faders than most aroudn the same budget and is of a higher build quality although it is all plastic but most are. overall it is very capable and i have a friend who has used this in a club many times without a hitch.

I'd say it depends on the style of music you plan to be mixing as to how much you can get out of it, it will work well for house, dnb, dubstep etc etc but not so well if you planning to try and use it for scratching or controllerism.

the basic package comes with a basic map for the controller that will work in traktor and carry out all the basic functions but as you get better youll quickly find that you might want to map some of the buttons around to do different things which is fairly straight forward in traktor or i could send you some of the modded maps ive done.

The only thing i will say about using the 5.1 card is that if it is just an inbuilt one to the motherboard you will suffer with latency and inferior sound quality compared to something like a usb soundcard specifically for midi controllers. ive just brought the native instruments audio 2 which is about £70 and is excellent for the price nothing comes close, although you should be ok on a 5.1 to start with although you will need a piece of software called asio to set out the sound routings in traktor

hope this helps
