When accelerating and revving the engine sounds like a subaru boxer engine but compared to other 1.2 8v's it doesnt sound right at all. What could be the cause of this?
heres a video of a nova as to how the engine sounds but mine compared to other 1.2 8v's doesnt sound right at all.

If it sounds like an Impreza it may be running on 3, is it down on power?

Well its kind of sluggish but i put it down to the headgasket being gone but when you start it up it kinda shudders till you rev it then that boxer kinda sounds comes in but its not from the exhaust its from the engine bay the sound is coming from. would new plugs and leads do anything to benifit it?

headgasket will do that on start up though, i would get that done first, not a hard job probley 2-3 hours job if that
