You know nothing Bro.
The email sounds legit to me, just give them your details.
Whilst you're at it, Ive a couple of billion in one of my accounts that I need to send you for various reasons. I will send you an email with the details I need from you.

Says nothing on mine.
I would place money on you having spyware which is directing you to the phishing site.

as long as you went into your browser independantly and typed in www.facebook.com and its displaying messages about security then you are likely to be OK.
But normally people fake emails to everyone saying OMG YOUR FAEBOOK IS GOING TO GET HACKED!!!!111 with a link in the email, you cick the link and it takes you to a fake version of facebook and tricks you into entering private details

Page will just look like any normal facebook page.
Take a look at a few of the links of the page and see if they are genuine facebook ones, etc.

ya bro, if his email turns out to be fake and he was to enter his details willynilly because of your advice then that would be quite harsh, bro.
