right i need some desperate help as im at my wits end

ive got a l reg corsa with the standard 1.2 8 valve spi engine in it, now you can go down the road 10-15 or even 100 miles and the all of a suddon the engine light come on and it dies, sometimes it will start again straight away sometime you have to leave it a couple of minutes,

ive replaced,spark plugs,leads,dizzy cap rotor arm and gave it a general service and it still does it, i thought i was a crank sensor but the car doesnt have one
