Don't know much about corsas, but have agreed to fit my birds brothers new backbox to his new corsa, it is a stainless Peco with 4 inch round pipe. He says he has looked underneath and says the standard back box is welded on to the centre section . I can't see that this is right, do you just loosen the clamp and knock it off?
Any help/other advice would be great.
Cheers

Just undo the clamp and twist and turn to your hearts content, be warned if its done alot of miles it'll be stuck on very hard

as red sxi said, its not welded on. just undo the clamp - you might want to spray some wd40 on the nut/bolts. then just remove the rubber mountings and start to twist from side to side.
where abouts u in lpool m8?

Did it today, was easy, soaked it in WD40, then just kept turning and pulling to get it off. Ground off weld holding clamp on old back box, and reused clamp. Had to bend the brackets down as the tail pipe was touching the rear bumper. Looks good now. Debadged the boot lid as well, looks trick.
I am right by the technology park in wavertree, opposite the train station. You?

That was easier than doing my exhaust.
Had the car on a ranp, and had my mate twisting the old box while I was clouting it with a sledgehammer! Arrgghhh!! Nightmare. Came off eventually though, after much swearing!

Yeah, I drive, but not a corsa... I have a new beetle and an old beetle, but shushh... I am into cars full stop anyhow, and the SXi looks sweet now, 40mm lowered, 16'' 5 spokes on 195 Yokos, debadged and 4'' backbox. Can't think of much more cosmetic stuff to do, maybe tints?, and he can't really touch the engine yet....
I nearly bought a SXi but got the new beetle instead...
