i love the look of a raised bonnet on a corsa..
but wouldnt have a clue how 2 do it !
any body got any advise on what youd need and how to do it ?

a higher bonnet hinge i guess, you can probably get a kit for it

yes i have some pics hang on. peice of piss to do and really cheap. looks daft and unless you will benefit from it massively i wouldnt even bother. you will get tired of people telling you your bonnet is open. its not funny even the first time.

this was a dirt cheap 10 minute job involving old metal i found in my garage, a marker pen, an angle grinder and obviously a drill for the holes.



then you bolt the lower holes to the hinge with a bolt, plate, hinge, nut washers also if you fancy being posh. then bolt the bonnet to the other holes.

add some fetching green paint if you wish. black or even the colour of the car would be more suited in all honesty.



stand back and admire. it really really looks awful though.

Ive tried this myself. Is there a way to make the striker pin line back up properly?

o rite so nic, basically youve just gotta connect the metal plate to the bonnet and the actual bonnet hinges just to extend it ?
thats all ? looks simple enough if im right. cheers 4 the help guys

yeah it is as simple as them plates in those pics. i even tried to provide basic measurements.
and yes ste w, i agree. although i kinda have to take the headlight out. it makes things better.

just remembered this pic from tonight

can see the plate attached to the hinge. then you attach the bonnet to the other 2 holes. as simple as that.
