Me and my girlfriend cleaned out and hoovered my car today, and i emptied out my boot.
Ive always noticed the carpet is abit sunken in the boot but didnt think anything of it, but i decided to lift the carpet up as boot was empty and all that is there is a dodgy cut bit of chipboard laid over the sparewheel, boot floor etc.
So what is actually suppose to be there?
underneath the carpet, is it just wood? but obviously cut properly?

In the 3 ive had there has just been the spare wheel under the carpet, nothing else

So just the bare metal boot floor under the carpet?
Nothing under it so the carpet keeps its shape and doesnt sink down in the spare wheel well or anything?

No mate just the carpet, mine sinks too, the sub always ends up in the dip when its not tied down
