Have done rears easy enought few times, never had to do fronts. I know what I am doing, ahve clams already, But was told need swan neck spanners, anyone know what size? and do I need small spanner told hold stret in place while undoing?

I did it with a socket on the top and mole grips on the shock (bit under the plastic cover behind the springs) to stop it turning 
I didn't have any drop neck spanners that were deep enough for the job

Cheers mate, dads got laods random tools in garage, hope is something to do the job hha! I dont think i have allen key top to my shocks, even though after market ones already one there

9mm socket on the the top of the shocker, if it has not already been rounded before you got the car that is.
