You'll have to forgive my ignorance towards the whole iphone craze as i've never been bothered by them before.

Anyway my conract was due for renewal and decided to get the iphone 4 which I should have on Monday.

I've had a look around and read up on jailbreaking but don't fancy voiding the warrenty. Question is can I only get apps from itunes or can I get apps from other sites?

Jailbreaking wont void the warrenty. Just restore if it breaks.

Do a search, lots of threads on various iphone apps.

Edit: to answer your question, you can only get apps from App Store unless you JB.

Yes, you can get every App for free after JB.

Yes, my iOS4 is Jailbroken, Unlocked and has all my 'cracked' apps back on it. Redsn0w is your friend.

Jailbreaking is well worth imo, it will save you money and enable you to get sat nav apps, better themes, sounds etc etc

If it's 100% reversible i'll probably go for it when there is a trusted jailbreak for the 4.
What i've seen online somebody has already jailbroke a ip4 but think i'll what for reports back.

Correct, 3g for me. Still waiting for Tesco to get the iPhone 4.
