I'm after a netbook for the mrs for her birthday but haven't bought any kind of PC or laptop for a good few years now so not sure what I should be looking for.
Not gonna be used for much other than internet browsing and I'll use it to download occaisionally
Anybody give any advice on what I should be looking for?

My missus just got a Samsung N150, it's nice looking, light, and does the internet which is what it's meant to do.
Drives me crazy though, really slow. But you sacrifice processing speed for compact-ness really, well at £250 you do

Have a look at that mate.

Cheers Cavey
Anybody have any experience with the MSI Winds? I can only find a couple of American reviews but the U130 seems to score well and can be had cheap
Can get a N130 for £50 more or the NC10 for another £10 over the N130

The MSI winds are awful, also ignore anyone that tells you the NC10, awful bit of kit. Dell mini10 is what you want, spec one up to your budget on the dell website

The N130's have issues with the hinges IIRC, have a quick google about it. The Dell's are pretty bullet proof, plus if anything goes wrong in a year it needs sorted, no fuss!
