Are you sure its a 4-2-1 mate and not a 4-1 style one? Reason I ask is I've not seen a 4-2-1 sportex before.

When I first fitted my raceland manifold I had a really bad metallic rattle. It turned out to be the join where it meets the cat wasnt 100% right. I took it back off, refitted it again making sure it was all sound and it was fine after Might be worth getting the car up in the air so you can try and listen for where its coming from.

I'm raising mine to 40mm front, I'm not ruining a manifold, and raising back to 70mm

Big clearance problems yes The actual manifold on mine is fine but it makes the cat sit stupidly low to the floor. Scrapes over literally every speed bump and it was catching on the road coming out of pvs lol. Also sloped drive ways are a big no no now as well...all part of the fun eh lol.

I've got a Sportex 4-1, no clearance issues (40mm lowering on mine)

As for the rattling - strongly agree with the above - a blow at the Cat joint - mine is doing it due to the Cat not mating up very well (saying that, it didn't mate up to the GM Downpipe before very well either and blew then too)

My 4-1 sportex scrapes everywhere! Its all part of the fun in having a low car lmao. and the scratchy noise you say, mine does it, I just thought it was rasp coming from it cause it's breathing easier! Sounds good I think, each to their own though mate!

No Gasket?!

Did you even intend to fit one? It'll never seal without something to take up the gap...

I comepltly forgot about that until now haha, just email tom to tell the mechanic next door. :doyle:
