Hi all
Just a quick one. When ripping a standard dvd movie, what resolution should it be set at?
My dad's just sent me this question, it's not something I normally do, as I'd just download them.
Cheers

mactheripper, but that is mac only.
I'd probably use DVD Shrink on the PC

Ok, well i'll make a note of DVD shrink, cheers.
I know what he's like though, he'll want to be able to use whatever it is he's found. I would've thought someone'd have the immediate answer tbh, seeing as everyone on here is a pirate.

I use DVD Decrypter to decrypt the DVD, then i use AutoGK to encode the .VOD files into an XviD .avi file.

checked 2 of mine:
624 x 352
592 x 320
All films can vary depending on the original aspect ratio.

I use the same, and I've set mine to always have a width of 720 pixels - it then alters the height depending on the aspect of the source.
