I'm getting fed up with my laptop now, It's about 1 year old and is reaching temps of 100 celsius then shutting down even though I have 2 colling fans underneath it.

Is there something I can do to stop it overheating?

Fans are probably blocked with dust and crap.

Try getting your vacuum cleaner on the air vents to suck anything out, if you've got some compressed air spray that into the vents and then use the vacuum to suck all the crap out.

How'd you guess
HP, Take it they're known for it?

Is it worth opening it up to clean it out?
