Hi really haven't looked into this kinda stuff for years now, noticed these are finally for sale though

I have an HD ready TV... do I literally just plug in that box and I'll have a few HD channels and be able to record them? Or is there anything needed like an aerial/receiver upgrade or something. And I take it they're just one off fee.
