The Engine Management light has been coming on shortly after every drive. There are high rev's as if I'm pressing the accelerator in neutral.
Could'nt get on the fault codes site so the car's going in tommorow to Arnold Clark for fixing.
I have a parts only warranty, so will they charge me for reading the fault + labour for fixing. Or do you think it will come under wear and tear and i'll need to fork out the full wack??
ADVICE??!!

Is the garage you are going to a Vauxhall garage? If it is and you are still covered under warranty , you wont have to pay for it, since its not considered wear and tear, its a general fault.

If its not a genuine vaux warranty and its one of the bought ones you get with sh cars then they dont cover jack.
If the parts is not actually broken then its classed as wear and tear.

Even Network Q warranties aren't worth the paper they are written on. A dealer will try anything to wrangle out of honouring a warranty.

The warning lamp will illuminate when the ignition is switched on, but as soon as the engine is started the warning lamp will go out. If the warning lamp stays on or comes on while the engine is running, then the ecu has detected a fault. If the ecu detects a serious fault then the ecu will then switch to an emergency programme which will allow the vehicle to be driven to a garage, so that the fault can be cured.
To activate the fault codes connect a wire to A and B of the diagnostic plug (10 pin version), then the fault codes will be displayed from the fault code light as flashes, eg. fault code 12 displays as one flash, pause, then two flashes.
To erase the fault code, turn the ignition on/off for 25 times, if this is unsuccessful then disconnect the battery earth lead for at least one minute. The disadvantage for removing the earth lead is that it will erase the memory from other electronic units, eg. security coded radio.
