looking to get a new laptop. currently have a sony vaio but its about 5 years old now and on its last legs so time for a change (even though i love it)

got a budget of £600 max. use it mainly for the internet so need it to be quick for this. screen size can be no bigger than 14".

what you guys recommend?

Why 14"? Standard laptops are like 15.6" widescreen, anything less is netbook territory IMO.
