Looking at getting a new TV ready for Xmas and take advantage of Virgin 0% until July 2011 on purchases.
Particularly looking for 37" as it'll be just the right size for the living room. Found this (as a fan of Ebuyer).
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/154998
Anyone know of this stuff being any good? Only ever seen it on Ebuyer - seems to get good reviews and a 3 year warranty is pretty good.
So yeah - any experiences with this 'budget' stuff?

If its anything like the F&H TV we have in the bedroom (22" DVD Combi job from Ebuyer about 5 months ago) the TV guide is SHITE. We use the TV guide on my mobile phone because it is a million times better. The menu system overall is slow and clunky and our remote is shit.
But they are cheap, so you get what you pay for. Im too fussed about the problems, depends how picky you are

That's something I didn't want as it'll get on my nerves too much.
Think I'd rather have a decent spec 32" at 1080p than cheapo 37".

They will be as good as any other non-branded tv. It will work, be usable but the picture quality will not be top notch and as metioned the guide will probably be very clunky.

That is a cracking deal - I don't think they'll get any better than that near Christmas.
EDIT: http://www.richersounds.com/product/lcd-tv/lg/37lh4010/lg-37lh4010 - oh yesh.

If it's in stock that is! Torn between bargain 32" under budget or 37" over budget. The 5 year guarantee sounds very appealing. Ringing MK tomorrow.

Where is this TV for? If it's for a bedroom I've got a 32" at the end of my King Size bed (so about 7/8 feet away from my head as such) and it's ample big enough.
£275 with a 5 year price of an LG is amazing if you ask me, and you can check it out working in store before you buy it.

It's for a living room which is quite large. Currently have a 22 even 37 at £329 is fantastic.
Question. Will a 37" TV in its box fit in the back of a Punto and will they deliver?

Answer: My 32 inch went on the back seat of a 3 door 106. A 37 will easy go in a punto with the seats down. A 37 would go in my worlds-most-impractial-car-of-the-year-mito!

Ring up see if they have it in stock, don't buy it across the phone though as you'll easily be able to haggle either a few quid off or get some cables thrown in (managed to get a load of £30 cambridge audio scart cables thrown in for nothing last time i was in there) etc.
I would also check out a few reviews on the screen and head over to avforums (great sources for issues/problems, screen setups etc) and see what you can dig up about it.

I phoned today about the 32 and 37 as linked above.
These are ex-display or ex-repair models and therefore are limited stock. MK only has the 32 in and it has no base, so will need a wall mount. This usually happens when they're end of line items and need shifting i.e. ex-displays.
37 isn't available anywhere locally.
However their 32" TV's are really good value so all is not lost.

Go in and haggle for money off, worse case see if they'll chuck a few things in for free.
