ive had my xbox for ages, but now its pissing me off
my online connection settings are set to 'strict' so i cant accept my friends request ect.
Any know how to change it?

That's a router setting, not an xbox one.

need to port forward your router
google your router make and port forward xbox live and the answer will pop up

Check your Xbox Internet Settings, if it's Nat 3, that'll be an issue.

or rather than mess about with port forwarding, assign it a static ip address and then place that ip address into the DMZ (outside of firewall)
i did this and its been fine for ages

Depends on the router too though. I did all of that, and I had a Belkin Wireless N, it was permanently NAT 3, so it made nae difference.
