Right possibly going to order a wireless N router tonight.
I have the User name for my broadband account (authentication) but not the password as when logging onto the router via a browser the password is blanked out.
Any suggestinons on how to extract or interrogate the router for the password? ITs a Netgear DG834G.
I am trying to avoid a pain in the arse undoubtedly lengthy phone call to my ISP and/or awaiting a password reset.
Thanks.

I remember someone on here (POW maybe) saying, if you telnet into the router you might be able to see the password in plain text.

possible to logon to view the config, but the password will be ****** so you will need to view the source of the router webpage to view the username and password set.
Or do an export on the config, the early dlink stuff had the password in clear text with the config file.

That debug mode will work on it.
