sorry to post this topic again. i have fitted this now to my corsa. i was just wondering whether the feeder pipe to the original air filter would be any use if i used as a feed for the induction kit fitted at the same place on the grill. anyone have any opinions feel free to post them

Will be fine mate. If possible, get another cold air feed running up there as well.

bigger air feed the better mate. i'm using 4.5"diameter aluminium piping.
Run the pipe from behind a grill or opening in the front bumper (facing forward to maxiumum induction of cold air)
U can either buy a proper cold air feed from piper cross or K+N, costing bout £25 for a 3", 2foot length. Or do wot i did and use flexible alumiunium exhaust piping from a motor factors, costing bout £10 for 1.5m length. Loadsa cold air - the engine loves it especially in this weather.

i've got a bodykit front bumper with massive widemouth, so it wasnt an issue.
However, for routing there are several methods when using the std bumpers:
1) from behind the top grill, run along above radiator to BFO cone.
2) from lower grille, may need to cut some plastic shielding from next to Rad
3) from below the front bumper. Run the feed upwards from the ground, but dont mount it too low.
Basically, run the pipe a short a distance as poss, bending the pipe as little as possible, to ensure air flow is smooth and undisturbed. If u start bending it all over the place, using 90 degree bends, then little or no air will reach the induction.
Remember, air will not be sucked thru this pipe, its just the force of ram air from the front of the car. Just use common sense really as to where to run the pipe. I'm gonna plumb in my 2nd this week

1.2 8v so there is plenty of room. the original feed pipe will need to be shortened though. just wondering will it be effective in supplying more air to the induction kit, cheers
