I've not driven a 1.4 Sri but what i've heard is its not much quicker than the 1.2 Sxi which i have driven. Personally I'd get a Sxi or if i wanted the extra speed get a 1.8 Sri. Put some Sri wheels on an Sxi, debadge it and who would know?

Mate ive driven the 1.4 Sri and its not quicker than mine "C sxi" there just a bit more grunt further up if you know what i mean!!
Get the 1.8 SRI ....now that is fast...But if you r just after looks stick some Sri wheels on the sxi....as dave g said

Thanx for the info Lads, and Ladies. Thats really knocked me for six now cus it sounds like the 1.2 SXI is almost the same as the 1.4 SRI. The 1.4 SRI standard BHP is roughly 100 aint it ? the 1.2 SXI is i think bout 85-90 ? looks like the best thing to do is save my pennies by gettin a 1.2 instead....wot u all think ??

i think 1.2 is 75 bhp and 1.4 has 90, not much difference and not worth the extra in my opinion as I said before

The 1.2sxi aint a bad car, just dont expect miricles when racing (if u do inteed tend to do participate in the traffic light grand prix)!!
The interior of the SXI's is a huge improvement on anything vauxhall have had in previous corsa's.
To get the best outta this engine u really need to give it allot of revs, the power kicks in about 4000rpm and stops at 5800. u really have to use the gears to get the best from it. but it can put a smile of ur face when the power does kick in!! specially when u think its only a 1.2!!
But at the end of the day its only a Corsa and not a race car (thats why they fitted it with a 1.2!!! if its power u want look else where (think i saw a nice skyline for sale in autotrader the other day!!
