vodafone are doing 300 mins, unlimited txts and 500mb on net for £25 a month.
will the 500mb be enough for going on facebook for a couple of hours a day?

I'd look for something else, the X10 is ok, but lacks quite a few features that nearly all other Android devices have, such as multitouch.
Also, SE's MediaScape interface is utterly shite, and they are also utter crap at any sort of updates (it's only running Android 2.1, and even then it took bloody ages to get the updates out)

I use about 180mb a month going on internet/facebook daily with weather/news and a few RSS feeds updating every half hour. Just use wifi to download apps.
Regarding the phone, I'd try and get a desire or desire hd/galaxy s. Just call them and say thats what you want.

Do they not do regular desire?
We do it for same cost as x10. It's no "bad" handset but theres better out there.

Had one for a bit, really slow and laggy. Great camera and huge screen.
Quite old though now

As Jambo says, the Desire is a great handset as it is and will be the same cost as the x10.

just by comparison for £25 a month 'Three' would give you 2000, anytime any network minutes, 5000 three to three minutes, 5000 Texts & All you can eat data, With the Same phone or a HTC Desire for an extra 5er
http://threestore.three.co.uk/handsets.aspx?tariffid=2765&mixnmatch=1 Kinsa puts the voda deal to shame?

Except Voda will give you servie everywhere, whereas 3 wont, then when you finally get fed up and want to leave they wont let you. Oh and good luck trying to solve a problem

Yea your probably right on the coverage issue as there are a few blackspots in their network apparently although i have never had a problem personally, but i may have just been lucky.
I've always found them to have quite decent customer service too, Got freebies off them a couple of times when i have had problems

I have the x10
Perfectly happy with it.
Dont have a need for multi touch, so I dont miss it.
Not into buying phones just because they have features I would never/hardly ever use.

i also have the X10, mainly as i've only ever had sony phones.
i don't know what multi touch is tbh?
i find what ever phone i get, i play around with it for the 1st few weeks, then after that its just along for the ride and i seem to use the phone, texts, internet, camera and the odd game, which this phone does perfectly for me.
depends what your into, i used to visit a X10 forum and there's people who have phones and then this line of geeks talking about rooting it and moaning about what software it runs.
