Great phone!
Not thinner than an iPhone4.
Battery life isn't great and Android sucks at task management.

You'll find it gets really slow sometimes without much explanation.
The battery will get better after the first 2 weeks.

You got one?
ive seen if i get a couple of texts while texting it will slow for a scond but nothin more, i hope the battery will get better, i let the battery run to nothing then left it charge for 14-18 hours, as i had been told by a mate to do it as it was what he was told when he got his normal desire

i like these but the battery life comments put me off.
i'm only my phone in work for a couple hours a day, and both my previous phones have run out of battery very quickly so i want something that will last.
i only use the internet. none of this app stuff.

Loads of ways to save battery on them. Biggest one is to turn Background data off, saves loads. Have your widgets set up on your home screen so you can just flick Mobile data/Wi-fi on and off, only use them when you need to. I can get 2 days out of mine which would include messaging and internet.
Awesome phone though, be lost without it now (quite literally actually, the sat nav on it is awesome!)

Downside of the desire (and HD is even worse tbh) is that if you drop the screen and haven't got insurance = £££

You can get several free aps for that though, no doubt Google will implement it at some point, it seems to have new features every month and is constantly updated

Yea dunno how accurate they are, I tend to slow down when I see a speed camera sign
If you mean the non-fixed site cameras then I dont think there is anything for that, but I might be mistaken

I got the HTC Wildfire which is a smaller version of the Desire with a few less features, it's pretty awesome and I only have to charge the battery every 4-5 days!
