Look in mothercare for everything, then go and get it from Amazon, mothercare is ridiculously expensive!

Check the weekly lidl specials, we managed to get the cupboard door latches for £1.50 instead of the ridiculous amounts mothercare wanted

The stoppers to stop the doors closing are a godsend.

Expensive, really? Our first is due in 7 weeks and we've found most of the stuff in there to be cheap as chips but the quality is crap, mainly got stuff from M&P or debenhams.
As everybody has said, I think its a bit early for babyproofing though.

Plug blanks and cupboard latch things are fine. And Stairgates. Done! Will be at least 18 months from now before you leave them alone long enough to need any of that stuff though .

our little one is 11 month old now.
tbh, we havent proofed the house at all, there hasnt been a need to.
shes been crawling for a few months and we just make sure we keep an eye on her.
We have bought a play pen from argos which we put her in when we need 5 mins alone etc.
Shes normally in it for 30 mins in the morning while one of us prepare her breakfast etc

This!!!!! Absolute Bain of my life, beep beep beep grrrr
That and sharp corners, falling off the bed, putting everything in the mouth and climbing stairs!
She's just learnt to climb the sofa too! No amount of baby proofing can prevent this you just need 10 pairs of eyes

Agreed, somehow if there is anything with a sharp corner on it they will find a way of nutting it. You can get rubber covers but they'd probably just yank them off and try eating them.

Yes or stand up under what ever it is that has sharp corners despite it being to low, or crawl in to the legs....
At one bit mine had constant bruises on the head, now it's knees

Ours is currently the perfect height to think he can walk under the fridge door but somehow always forgets about the extra few inch of head above his eyes.
Thankfully he's outgrown the dining room table now, that was the cause of a good few tears.
