im changing my seats over and i need to know asap if im undoing the right thing and are they supposed to be this tight??? if so whats the best way to undo them? cheers ive taken a picture

The small one, no, leave that alone.
The big one yes, there mega tight, you need a good socket bar to turn it. Then the once its out the chair just slides forward and unhooks.

i undone bother of them i used abit of wd 40 on them n a wee knock with a hammer coz of lock thight under and on top and as jamie side get a socket with a good long bar/ rachet

yeh thats why i was bit confuused well i didnt have tools to do it so i took it to my mates garage and he just rounded the bolts! moron!!!

i had to drill the head off one of mine lol, i've replaced them with much better allen bolts now

Both of the bolts pictured need to come out.
T40 Socket & a large ratchet.

The second pic, I ended up grinding of the captive nut from under the car and replace with stainless steel nut and bolt

done this a few times, yeah both bolts out
had to grind one of the heads off once, and yeah its a good idea to change them for better bolts.
think the sub frames are set up slightly different on pre 97 and post 97, i had to adjust them when i put sri seats into a 99

yeah there a right c**t to get out what i usualy do is heat it up a little makes it that little bit easier to get out
