Do any of you lot buy Dell stuff fairly regularly?

My company is in the process of becoming a registered partner/reseller and as a result means I am able to get discounts off their standard retail pricing on a number of things.

Can apparently get BIG discounts if you buy £10k+ worth of kit as well

It's not that good.

Discounts on over 10k aren't as big as you'd expect either.

The partner site doesn't give you that big, if any, discount normally, the margins are tight enough on the retail ones that there's no room to give loads off.

When spending 10k, you'll get a few hundred off if you're lucky, not a free 2k server like you used to.

I'd be interested to see what discounts they offer me when I get my login details through tomorrow.

He did say on the phone to me earlier (the rep from Dell) that Inspiron stuff I won't get anything off, only everything else.

And yes if my customer was spending at least £10k on new kit I'd expect a better discount than that

Everything mass produced is crap TBH, you just get varying degrees of crapness among brands.

Is the Lenovo warranty as good as Dell?

Quick chat online, not too many questions, engineer out next day?

My experience of most other manufacturers certainly isn't that simple.
