Hi I just fitted my boot popper but when I pop it the boot comes back down and locks again how may I stop this happening plz help thx ...

firstly how have you wired the popper??? to a switched live or intermittent live?? if intermittent then theres your problem as it will pop and then retract slightly when the power stops going to it. if on a switch leave it flicked on??? or the rubbers on the boot, twist them out to create pressure so that when the boot pops it opens slightly further. hope any of this has been of help to you. good luck.

as above play with the rubbers thats what i did on mine

Ok I did try that but it still didn't work and when it did the boot was kicked out a little so it was now in line with the lights
|

They should sell spring loaded rubbers to kick the boot fully open

Something bigger and softer would have the same affect. You might also benefit from stronger gas struts - do you have a spoiler?

Check they've got 'spoiler' written on them as they're slightly uprated. Could also try some newer ones, they can leak and fail over time.

Another trick is to grind the hook so it clears the pin on the first click of the lock

Ok thx because I have the 'spoiler' struts and I have tried to adjust the rubbers so it still didn't work
