I have bought Apple TV and have successfully set it up with the TV.
The only issue I have is that it is using the sound from the TV and not the 5.1 surround sound.
TV is connected to DVD Player via HDMI Cable on HDMI 2, and Apple TV is connected to TV via HDMI Cable on HDMI 3.
Do I have to arse about with wires to make it work?

Optical Audio cable from TV to DVD/surround sound?
Or does the apple tv have optical out?

I'm assuming the DVD player is one of those "all-in-ones" with the inbuilt decoder/av amp? If it has an optical input then just link the Apple TV and DVD Player come Av Amp with an optical cable.
