recently bought c20xe noticed waterpump was full of gunge so im either guessing head gasket or pourous head ......
how can i tell if the head is pourous ...
also noticed one piston has small damage on top surface from previous cambelt failure ??
also pistons do wobble slightly is it meant to have a small amout of play ( movement)
is this the give way in the rings ?

not sure about the porous head but the pistons do have a slight movement in them, very small amount.
do you mean damage to the crown of the piston like half moon where the valve has touched it? If so then it will still be ok to use.

i will take pics tmorro but the damage is more to the edge of the piston but not on the edge
slight movment being about a few mm ?
