As the title suggests really don't want to get screwed over by any old mechanic. Looking at about £70 to buy them and maybe an hour or two labour?
As far as I understand basically remove sump, then remove each of the 4 caps and replace the bolts ensuring to countersink them (if u do it one bolt at a time u dont even need to take the cap off) replace sump and refill with oil.
So all in all how much should I be looking at?

Its getting ex manifold off too whch could be rad out, so then its coolant too on top. If can undo manifold and drop it out the way without having to move rad, then u stil have to take caps out completly to countersink otherwise chance be swarf in engine. But sometimes u cud get away without countersinking or you can get countersunk washers. So cud vary frm maybe 70-150

Fuck taking the chance of countersinking in place, swarf will go everywhere.
What do you want to do from above? you wont be able to fit the bolts from above unless your car is upside down lol

Only one way to learn and that isn't finding someone else to do it
Rad out and exhaust manifold off are both horrible jobs and you'll hate the car but it's worth having a go.
Also, don't countersink in place.

What engine is it?
The downpipe splits from the manifold on x14 and x16 so it's just the downpipe you need to unbolt.
Then remove the sump, remove the bearing cap bolts one at a time replacing them with the arp's
