As the title going to curries tomorrow to have a look want the best all round package. Used to have a gaming pc, can most laptops be fitted with a graphics card?

No, most laptops have built-in graphics.
It should tell you in the spec of the laptop whether it has a separate graphics card or not, i.e. ATI 512Mb <whatever> graphics, otherwise it just uses system RAM for memory.
Also, bear in mind that even if the laptop does have a separate graphics card, these aren't as easily upgradeable/available as PC/Mac ones for example.
Dell do gaming laptops (Alienware), not sure about other brands but otherwise get a desktop if you want a proper gaming system.
