Afternoon,
I am moving house tomorrow and found out that the new place supports BT Infinity.
Is it worth the extra costs? I know the speed will be 3x what I get now but what are they like for throttling?
I never touch Torrents. But I do use Rapidshare and hotfile etc. Would that get throttled?
Cheers

Well you can get an "unlimited usage" package which is £28 a month.
The cheaper option has a 40gb download limit which is a pretty decent size but when you go over that you get charged £1 per GB so I don't think they have a throttle process applying on that, just you will get a big bill if you go over.

We have it and our download speeds are roughly 29mb. We only had 2mb before that and it's a joke how much faster it is

Is it a good stable internet solution?
All the forums seem to be full of complaints about it not being stable

Only use it for Xbox and it's always under 50ms ping and full green bars when playing COD.

Thought as much, its impossible to download a film during the day, even if I leave the computer on all day, come midnight I can download 1 in a bout 10-20 mins.

Use SSL Jamie
Doug, you'll be able to max out on HTTP file hosts like Rapidshare if you use a multi threaded downloaded like JDownloader
