what size hose will i need to go from the throttle body to standard air box when i fit a vx inlet to a 16xe?
does the standard one fit?

Standard one is plastic and isnt a good fit if it will fit at all.
Scrappy job or a proper custom jobbie.

ive used a 45 degree elbow silicone jobby off ebay, then drilled a hole for the temperature sensor and sealed with gasket sealer dont have a clue what size the diameter is tho

45 degree fit alrite or did you have a cone on?
read somewere that a 1.7d cav one fits???
also anyone got any links to a cheap silicone one?

yeah i got a bmc filter on mine, but before that i used an intake pipe off a 1.2 8v, bit of a bodge to fit the sensor mind :/

hurry up and get it on word of advice tho, make sure you have everythin before you start cuz i didnt and had to bodge things up to go to halfords, scrappys etc ended up takin like 5 hours to fit it

aye, thats why its not on, working two jobs and trying to gather:
the pipe
the skinny little pipes
T pieces
bolts (possibly sorted tomorrow)
some carb cleaner
some paint for the t/b
dint want half a job done

what did it come with when you bought it? cuz with mine there was a vacuum hose joiner as well, you got that with yours?

think the vacuum hose joiner bit (if your on about the bit that clip/screws onto the front of the box) is different, its a clip on type so im going to remove the threaded type from my standard inlet and put that on

ah right fair enuf, is it a vx performance one? yeah, and theres a t piece that threads into the front (on mine there is anyways) , cuz theres like 4 vacuum pipes that need to go into the actual box

mines only got the 3 should just be able to put T pieces in the pipe work but im not sure wich goes were ether
and yes vx, had been run on an astra i believe

yeah mine had the big one at the top with the union nut on it, then a t piece and a single bit if you get me. i connected the little pipe off the rocker cover in with the Manifold pressure sensor with a t piece as well cuz it seemed to run better
