I've just downloaded 120gb of dexter series 4. Looks like just files off the disc, does anybody have a set way for watching these?
TV isn't liking them from ps3 media server or serviio? First time I've ended up with this format.

Should have checked the file type before downloading them then!

Not sure if this will help at all, but Nero ShowTime normally plays files like that. Depends what you're running them on though and how getting it to the TV.

Was the highest quality available so went for that.
It's normally played via the TV's media player deano but I'll just plug a laptop or something into it if need be.
I'm sure it's on google but thought someone on here might have done it before.
Media player classic plays the individual files but that seems a bit messy.

Try Nero ShowTime (I think it's called that) from laptop/PC.
Or alternatively burn the files to a DVD so you can watch it like a DVD etc. Not sure if it will affect Bluray quality thought.

stream using VLC?
A ps3 should play an m2ts file or a .ts file (raw bluray streams).
Post up the specs of the video's using mediainfo

It's the whole file structure off the disc.
The actual video files are m2ts.
I'm currently using clownBD to convert to .ts to see if that works, could be a while though.
Luckily I've got season 3 to watch while sorting this.

don't convert, will lose quality (notciable - debatable), use tsmuxer, it de muxes and then re muxes into another file type and will take minutes as opposed to hours

I think clownBD does just remux.
I don't really want to lose quality after downloading that, there's a noticeable difference from the 720p TV rips I've got for season 3 from the bits I've managed to play.
The TV can almost play it, just not quite.

TV looks like it can play the video but doesn't like the audio, must be trying to play the True HD stream which it won't be able to.
I'll try tsmuxer later, I left that clownBD thing going last night but didn't have a chance to check this morning.

Even with the large file sizes it shouldn't take long to "repackage" it as such, it'll definitely be encoding it into something else if it's taking more than 10 minutes.
Might have to select the option to not include the True HD stream if you're playing through your TV, if you can't change audio channels on the TV.
EDIT: Won't the sound go straight to the Amp anyway?

Amp won't play TrueHD either but the TV complained about not supporting the codec.

Ah that's why then.
Should be able to sort it with TSMuxer, not used it myself though as I stick to the MKV encodes.

Im sure there is a tool, ive had this problem before. I use mkv2vob but not sure if it works the other way

If the mt2s are x264 (in the past I have seen mpeg2 streams) then as noshua said, just remux them to mkv using something like tsMuxeR (http://www.videohelp.com/tools/tsMuxeR). Although I have remuxes fail in the past, in which case I just throw it into Handbrake and re-encode (haven't really noticed any degrade in quality tbh) overnight.
