Apparently the latest update changed some of the BD settings, have you had a mess in there?
Are you sure it's not a Black and White film

Maybe tv dont support 60hz? used to happen on the ps2.

I know of a similar problem that I used to see with DVD players, when it was set to output in NTSC. Have a check through the settings for playback on the PS3 as something might have been changed by the update as said.

It happened before the update and will still play dome in colour
