EML flashing is because the immobiliser is kicking in mate. Swapped the transponder and chip over to match the new 16v ecu yeah?

Transponder looks like this and goes around the ingition barrel. The chip goes in your key.

You need to have a matching ECU, transponder and chip (all from the same car) otherwise the car wont start im affraid

Any transponder from a corsa should be fine, you will need matching ecu and chip though.

You sure the chip and ECU match? If they aren't from the same car, they won't work.

Sounds like theres something else going on as well as the immobiliser problem. It should be able to start but cut after after a second or two.

Charge the battery fully first. Immobiliser will allow the car to turn over, just not fire. It may even fire for a few seconds.
