We are with Sky (used to be with O2), got the unlimited package and not had any issues with the speed or anything.
I think PlusNet are also meant to be good, not sure if they offer unlimited bandwidth though.

I use Be There unlimited.
I'd get Virgin fibre if I could.

Had sky unlimited when I had llu. Was great constant speeds day and night, never went down.
Got plusnet now not in llu, speeds are very inconsistent, buts that's always been the case I have found here. Good customer service, clear download limits and clear throttling policy.

Virgin Internet is bloody good. Their bundles and TiVo box is decent too.
Mine costs about 38 a month including line rental and HD etc.

Virgin is hardly the cheapest and has a lot of throttling before certain times, although it's good, my sister and best friend have it and it's really reliable.
I have talktalk unlimited, its just broadband, 10 mbps, no throttling and that's £11.50 a month !
I game often on the pc and low ping is pretty important.
In all I think it's the fastest and most reliable for the money that I have found.

I think the basics of it is that normally sky might sell you bt wholesale Internet at £17.50 or whatever it is a month, usually dire speed.
If for example sky has their own equipment at the phone exchange it's called local loop unbundling, so they can offer you broadband cheaper, should get better speeds as well, in my case it's not much better at all, just cheaper. I expect someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

Is that £11.50 a month plus a BT phone line?

Line rental is £13.80 or £9.50 if you pay it all up front. Which will mean you only have to pay for the package each month.

Jay, put your post code in that website and print screen (or tell us your post code) so we can see if it's unbundled.
There's also a speed estimator based on your postcode, pop that in and copy/paste the results.

Call them, just because there is a set price on a website, doesn't mean you cant get it cheaper.
