Finally got my laser built and working. Originally seen it could be done about a year ago, bought all the bits, fried the diode. Bought another diode, fried it. Left it for a bit, bought another diode, fried that and the driver.
Recently bought a new driver and diode and finally got it working.

It's cool as fuck, that's not fully conveyed here because it's so difficult to get a picture that shows how bright it is, scale and also not blind myself at the same time.

Definitely one of my coolest toys now, burns even white stuff within a few seconds.

~1W 445nm for anybody insterested.

I've had a few reflection hits off it, probably damaged some cells, need glasses on when using it indoors at all really.

This is on another level, red laser pen you had was probably 1mW, this is 1000 times that.

I thought my 35mW green one was the berries until seeing this.

No reason other than I liked the look of it, I'm into stuff I can do myself as well, wouldn't have just bought an off the shelf one.

I have glasses you twat.

The glasses also block out the same colours of light from the camera screen so then I can't see to take a picture.

The top picture is actually shining it up at the sky out the back, there are planes about there so do need to try and make sure there are none about.
