We have had some french doors fitted and are in the process of having a 6m x 4m patio laid outside the doors.
We currently have no lighting to light up the area at night and just wondered what people would suggest?
Obviously, the most straight forward option is a big spot light above the french doors but wondering if there anything more discreet or nicer looking that I should consider?

you could get a small street light type of thing. best amount of light would be the spot lights though

No wall around the patio or spot lights in the wall would have been ideal
Not sure what other options there are to be honest

Those little posts with lights in, can get the wires buried under the patio to make it discreet
like these
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

Uplights in the patio? Dont give off a huge amount of usable light but they look pretty sweet! Nice if you have potted plants/small trees nearby to light up.
