last night i was driving home and i hit a big puddle about a foot deep in my corsa xe drove about 2 mile along the road and it spluttered and stopped air filter was soaked, tried takin plugs out and turning it over it turns over any ideas?

make sure the leads/dizzycap + rotorarm are dry.

i will im going to crack on tomorrow i think theres water inside the engine and possibley bent the rods fingers crossed, im going to drop the oil first put some fresh in

If it sucked up water, it would stop straight away. Sounds like you got the ignition wet.

If it drove for 2 miles you've not bent a rod.

the filter was dripping wet the plugs are soaked turned it over with plugs out and fresh oil in put plugs in but wont start just clunks and bangs any ideas?

Have you put the plug leads on it the correct order? Sound more like something is still wet and not firing.
