The second generation GM F-body's are probably the reason I got into cars as it seems all my uncles had one when I was 3-6 years old. But Porsches are what made me an automotive enthusiast. I distinctly remember when I was in the second grade hanging out every day outside my neighbors garage as he rebuilt what I believe was a 70's Porsche 911. I remember seeing that car go from a bare shell to a full running example. I remember sitting there as he was trying to tune the engine and inhaling all the glorious fumes. Which might explain some things...but...we digress.
This was Porsche day so I was all giddy walking around the "coral" at Cars & Coffee, which is the area clubs can reserve for their gatherings. But as always there was much more to see around the lot. Vipers, Carrera GT's, Ferrari's, Lambo's, Skylines, and muscle cars, hell even a lowrider. Some of the coolest cars being an Infiniti M30 with an RB25 swap, a 75 Skyline with a built up engine, and a Mk1 Escort with a Cosworth Duratec. It was a great start for the day before heading out to the HRE Wheels Open House.
Enjoy the pics:
