I just fitted a decat to my civic! Took it a run and was fine, pulled into my driveway and the battery light came on, took it another run for 20 miles ... Now the vtec, power steering and speedo isn't working, but the car stops and starts fine? What the frank!? Anyone know anything that cud help

Tbh that sounds like an Earth wire problem to me. Check the ECU and make sure the straps aren't loose.

Also sounds like altenator not working right which could be earth related

sounds like an earth problem, if its related or coincidence is what you need to work out, if its the former then it maybe easy for you to trace what you have done today.

or could it be an ECU issue, are they known to spit a dummy out when they get faults (which i am assume it is running a decat)

Fitting a decat will put it into limp mode. ie no vtec and lights on the dash.
Need an o2 simulator or simular for the sensors you took out of the cat to make it run right.
Or just get it remapped with a couple of other mods. taking the cat off of a standard one will make no difference. its the centre pipe thats the restrictive bit

Turns out when u fit a japspeed decat ur not ment to fit the 2nd sensor, it was touchin the bottom of the car (earthing) and had blown a fuse, vtecs r very weird engines, one fault just puts everything off! Lol thanks for the help! And ok Gavin will try that! Off to walace Performence next week for a map!!
