Recently moved house where i used to have sky in the bedroom, so i currently have the 1TB sky HD box but as I'm not getting Sky in this property is it worth keeping the box?
Also if not, am looking for a nice looking small freeview box, the smaller the better really, not too bothered about features as i have my laptop linked upto my TV anyway.
What boxes have other people got sub £50
Ta,

Depends if you want recording?
I had one of these as I didn't want sky originally,
Since had sky installed and have magic eye in bedroom so don't use anymore.
Not small but works well with the recording etc.

If you've got a dish installed in the new property just get a viewing card off Sky (about £10) for the free to air channels and you can watch them through your Sky box.
The Sky+ stuff (recording/live pause etc.) won't work though unless you have a subscription.
Otherwise, just get a cheap freeview set top box from Tesco or wherever for the same price.

Other option is to get a FreeSat box.
I use an old Skybox for my FeeSat From Sky.

He can still use his Sky+ box for that, but neither that or your suggestion would work if his new place hasn't got a dish to connect it to...

TBH I prefer Sky paid for subscription over Freeview - more options and better channels.

Note that with freeview you will not get many HD channels at all i.e. You won't get all the Olympics ones, this sort of thing is only going to increase in the future IMO.
I would keep the Skybox and put up a dish at the new house.
