Hi Guys,
Recently picked up an 02 plate E46 325 CI on a bit of an impulse buy
Just want to clarify something re. the interior fans as I'm not sure something is quite right on mine (and not working on a clients anytime soon to check on theirs )
Basically the air con seems to work (can hear the compressor kick in, and cold air can be felt coming through the vents) but it only seems to come out with any force even with the fans set to maximum when on the move (ie. above 30mph or so) sat at idle or crawling in traffic and you can barely feel the air coming out even with your hands up against the vent, and the cabin starts to get quite warm!
Turning air con off, setting the temperature as low as possible and the fans to maximum, or setting it to demist, I'd expect to be able to hear the fans blasting away, but it's silent? Only time I heard them was when it was 28 outside and I set aircon to 16 - they worked perfectly then.
It had the final stage resistor 'hedgehog' replaced early last year, and I've just replaced it again as a precaution, but it doesn't seem any better.
Am I being paranoid over nothing, or is it a big bill coming my way?
Cheers,
Rich
