Hi guys,
First of all, I'm a total noob when it comes to engine transplants and all, however my best friend and his dad are not.
His dad was at a petrol station where a person fills up the car for you (quite strange) and they put petrol instead of diesel! He only noticed on the way home when his car conked out.
Now, here's the question, his dad said if we can find an engine then we can both take it and use it, he has a workshop and is willing to help us put it in. But theres a voice in my head that says it wont be so straight forward...?! Draining the fuel lines and (engine?) before the new one goes in etc etc?
Many thanks for any replies and help in advance!
Marc

Hi mate, sorry for the late reply, I am wondering what else would need to be done to the car? ie drining the fuel lines or anything else? As the engine is kaput I am not expecting it to work after swapping the engine out for a new one?
Many thanks,
Marc

Drain the tank blow the fuel lines through and replace fuel filter and brime with diesel it may smoke for a bit and could still possibly cause failure in the future although ive never had one come back
