Ok stuck between these two.

Seen both in John Lewis and cant decide. I've seen the Sony in action in curry's awesome picture quality & 3D is excellent to, not to fussed about the charge for the sony glasses as wont use 3D that much. Only thing that knocks me off being 100% for the Sony is the surround isn't as modern as I'd like were as the LG look dead modern with the framless design.

Now I haven't seen the LG in action properly how ever the spec is near the same, can any one comment on either which would make me want to go for one over the other or is it purely there near the same so go for look's?

Thanks

Yeah I going to go to JL later and check the LG out, was watching batman on the Sony in curry's and the black especially were really true and on blu ray looked really clear. But then it's the first time with a decent TV so I guess either will look good, just like the modern look of the LG but if I loose quality i'll stick with the sony

I've had LG & Sony.

Picture is better on my Sony, however the UI is much better on the LG I feel. To the point where if I was to buy again now, it would be LG.

How old was said Sony TV?

Think they all have the Xross Media Bar UI layout now, which is pretty awesome and debatably one of the best UI's in the industry.

User Interface. Or menu layout, if you will.

For ease of use, I just prefer the LG. I can find that the Sony text can be a bit small. I sometimes wear glasses during the day, if I dont wear them a night my vision is a bit shit. Was always okay with the LG though.

Mine is about 18 months old, IIRC KDL40EX7053. It has the "ps3" layout.

That's the LG just look's nice and modern were as the Sony looks a bit more dated, but I also want the best picture ect fussy I know
