Right, the ecu i got with the engine was an earlier type with GL i think on it which meant my power steering was playing up? Have borrowed seans one which is different (Cant remember the code now) But i dont think its still working 100% so i was just wondering which code is the one that makes it work properly?
Thanks guys

your EPAS should work regardless of what Engine ECU you have, possibly a fault elsewhere?

Well ive been told the EPAS sends a signal to the ecu and depending on which ecu it is to whether it works?

You need to give Ash a u2u Chris if ya not sure. (1999corsa b)
The electric powered steering is nothing to do with the 2.0. It's in with the original 1.2 loom that powers all ya lights etc.

I've only chopped the bits that needed to be connected to 2.0.
There's two seperate looms, one for 2.0 and another one that came with the car.
You gave Ash a u2u? He knows alot more than I do. Haha.

It needs a rpm signal from the c20xe loom to the eps module which is in the drivers side footwell.

That sends a signal to the c20xe ecu and if the ecu is an early type it doesnt recognise it so i borrowed seans one with FP on the ecu (a later type ecu) and PAS now works

interesting seems it`s just a rpm signal required for eps, will have to watch out for that problem thenin the future.Glad you sorted it anyway!
