Hi my corsa b has starting over heating I.e it's constantly around the 100 mark on the engine temp gauge ! Could this mean that I have a coolent leak ?? Any help would be great
Ohh it's a 1.4 16v sport thanks

if its at 100 you have lossed alot of coolant but thermostat might not be working or rad could be blocked

Take thermostat out and put it in a pan/cup/jug etc of boiling water. See if it opens, if not then you need a new thermostat.

Thanks lads I'm working away at the moment it's my girlfriend driving the car ! She said that she can hear the fan kicking in but it doesn't cool down, and where is the thermostat located ??

Topped up with coolant and all is ok, how could I find where the coolants goin ???

If its anything like my car the radiators leaking a bit and after X amount of miles it slowly uses the coolant. Just keep an eye on it for a while and see if it keeps loosing it.

If you have antifreeze in there then you should smell it a bit but just have a good look around really,Are you building up alot of expansion tank pressure?

Topped up the coolant last Thursday and its drained already no signs of it getting into the oil tho ??
