Got an iphone, dont want to put a sim in it to activate it.....is there a way round this?

I don't think so, can you not just put a pay as you go sim in?

Dan - I think from what I've been told recently, the phone will lock to whatever SIM is first installed when it's turned on and activated, I'm guessing this is why Munchie doesn't want to install a SIM?

especially from someone who deals in phones, I don't know of anyone who says oh lost my phone today.

Either way if you found it wouldn't the best thing to do is try trace the owner.

Sim free carphone warehouse only lock to the first sim.

ultrasnow doesnt work on new phones at the moment, they havent released it yet, plus have to activate to use cydia.

If the owners reported it lost it will become blocked regardless of hactivating or not.

Should have not restored it as the owner could have possibly traced it with find my iphone.
